Zamparelli’s Italian Bistro is the beginning of a dream come true for Nancy & Jimmy Zamparelli. The doors opened on March 31, 2006 and the reviews have been great! In addition to the “regular” neighborhood crowd that gathers on the weekends… The Denver Post “Cheap Eats” columnist noted that Zamparelli’s “is the perfect combination of cozy and chaos.” The Yellow Scene says Zamparelli’s is an “excellent neighborhood spot with its friendly service, quality product, and central location.” In April, 2007, Zamparelli’s was named “Best Italian” and “Best Pizza” by the readers of the Yellow Scene.
Jimmy was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in New Jersey. His passion for food comes from his family – 100% Italian. Food is always the center of all family gatherings – and there lots of family gatherings! He learned to make ricotta ravioli with his grandmother and today uses her recipes as the basis for his meatballs and marinara sauce. Nancy was inspired by her mother, who fed the family of six kids straight from the farmer’s market in Houston, Texas.
The partners in pizza met at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Since culinary school Nancy and Jimmy have fined tuned their craft at such great restaurants as Al Forno in Providence, Rhode Island, Spago in Beverly Hills, Greystone Restaurant and Domaine Chandon both in the Napa Valley, CA.
Jimmy and Nancy’s favorite restaurants across the country are owned and operated by chefs. They aspire to bring the same heart and soul to Boulder County by focusing on quality ingredients and a quality experience for you and your family. And they know quality! Zamparelli’s is a combination of their upscale experiences in New York and California and their personal, comfortable style.
